Houston Wedding Sweets Dolce Delights

Dolce Delights by Candace Chang
Pastry chef and owner of the midtown pâtisserie and café, Candace Chang elevates mousse cake to an art form "where taste, texture, and decoration exist in perfect harmony." She was classically trained in Hong Kong, and her modern-looking desserts, made with farm-fresh ingredients, are almost too beautiful too eat. Eschewing artificial sugar overload for the perfect balance of natural, semi-sweet flavors, she offers classic French pastries like macarons (yuzu marshmallow, Pop Rocks, Andes Mint) and croissants. Look for the mousse cakes named Sheer Romance, Prince Charming, Trophy Wife, and Naughty Kiss.

Nothing Bundt Cakes
They bake cakes with the purest ingredients (fresh eggs, real butter, and real cream cheese), but not traditional wedding cakes. Taking a page from My Big Fat Greek Wedding, Nothing Bundt Cakes is home to the tastiest little morsels called Bundtinis. They're adorably bite-sized, iced, and sold by the dozen. The new lemon raspberry flavor is TDF. Read real brides' reviews here!

Houston Wedding Desserts Sweet Marie's Sugar Shop

Sweet Marie's Sugar Shop
Owner Jennifer Marie, who began baking alongside her mother as a kid and honed her experience working in her family's café, studied at the Peggy Porschen Academy and Leiths School of Food and Wine in London. She believes ingredients are key to a delectable dessert, so she uses "the very best" and bakes in small, made-to-order batches to ensure freshness. "Taste the difference and treat yourself to a sweet luxury." She creates lovely shortbread cookies and gluten-free brownies, but we're oohing and ahhing over her Kiss Collection, which includes giant meringue, meringue kisses, mini kisses, and meringue cookies. These dainty confections come in several flavors and colors.

Tiff's Treats
Launched in 1999 by a pair of entrepreneurial Longhorn sophomores with an idea to deliver fresh-baked, warm cookies to Austin college students craving sugar and sustenance, Tiff's Treats has expanded to 18 locations throughout Houston, Austin, Dallas, Fort Worth, and San Antonio. Order up trays of cookies for the dessert table or send guests home with a mini-box — two to four fresh, baked-to-order cookies, packaged in display-ready boxes with colorful ribbon options to match your theme. Choose from chocolate chip pecan, chocolate chip, snickerdoodle, peanut butter, peanut butter chocolate chip, white chocolate chip and almond, butterscotch chip, M&M, sugar, oatmeal raisin, and oatmeal chocolate chip. Sweet Blessings Bake Shop
Cheerful owner Diana Bills is a one-woman operation and she's also a one-stop shop for every sugar craving. The baker extraordinaire makes beautiful sweets and treats fresh from scratch, including cake pops, bite-size pies, macarons, Rice Krispies squares on a stick, and then some. "I love to bake, and my number-one priority is taste," she says. And she's not kidding, with unusual cupcake flavors like "Cup of Sunshine" — lemon cake made with fresh lemons, filled with blueberries, and topped with vanilla butter cream. The "Tejas Twister" is a corn cupcake with jalapeño jelly cream cheese icing, and the "White Sandy Beach" is a coconut cupcake with coconut rum butter cream topped with toasted coconut and macadamia nuts.

Premium dippers include Oreo cookies, Biscotti, Rice Crispy Treats, Cream Puffs, Potato Chips, Nutter Butters, and more. The company also does a three-tiered nacho cheese fountain with cascading queso and warm tortilla chips, chili con carne, sour cream, guacamole, pico de gallo, and jalapeños for cocktails hours and late-night appetizers.)
