Chrissy Teigen Opens Up About Her Emotional Fertility Struggles with Husband John Legend

Celebrity, Relationships

Admit it: When you see a celeb couple as cute as Chrissy Teigen and John Legend, you instantly want to know when they'll be expanding their sheer adorableness with some genetically-blessed babies. We're all guilty of it! But in a clip for her new talk show, FabLife, Chrissy Teigen explains why asking someone if they're expecting any little ones on the way, could be hurtful, as she discusses her fertility struggles with husband John Legend.

For a couple that appears to be as in love as these two, it's no wonder why the "So when are you having kids?!" question continues to pop up for the pair. "Every single time I sit down for an interview with anybody... I will say, just being two years into being married, the questions just come from all over," Teigen said, according to People. "I will say honestly, John and I are having trouble," she explained in an emotional moment. "We would have had kids five, six years ago if it'd happened. But my gosh, it's been a process!"

Opening up about her struggle to conceive, from seeing fertility doctors to dealing with the paparazzi prying with these ultra-personal questions, Teigen shared how difficult it is for the couple to face the constant, personal questioning — which any newlywed can agree with, even if they're just dealing with nosy in-laws! — and how supportive she is of women in similar situations. "Once you open up about all those things to other people, you start learning that a lot of people in your life are seeing these people, and they have this shame about it."

Despite these emotional, newlywed struggles, Teigen sounds hopeful for a future family and thankful for a strong marriage and always-supportive hubby. Kids or no kids, these two are totally adorable.
