For NHL player Devin Setoguchi, former teammates are forever friends — and, as it turns out, wildly entertaining wedding guests. At Setoguchi's wedding last weekend, Chicago Blackhawks's Kris Versteeg and Dallas Stars's Jason Demers, along with two other friends, performed a hilarious rendition of Sia's hit "Chandelier," skintight body suits and all.
In a video of the dance, above, the four guys are standing on the dance floor at the reception, seemingly about to give a toast, when they decide to "mix it up." Off go their suits, much to the surprise and delight of the newlyweds and the guests, and out come the body suits and, eventually, masks. When the song (which also happens to be Jennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux's first-dance song!) comes on, the real magic starts.
The whole performance is pretty epic — the guys do some spins and fancy footwork, and even lift each other off the ground at several points throughout. Clearly, Versteeg (in the yellow leotard) and Demers's athletic training for hockey served them well! The guests obviously love it, and laughter and cheers are heard in the background the whole time. Their committed acrobatics and choreography earned them a standing ovation and many high fives.
Setoguchi played with Demers, a defenseman for the Dallas Stars, on the San Jose Sharks for many years. Versteeg, meanwhile, is a forward for the Chicago Blackhawks, who won the Stanley Cup this year. Maddie Ziegler may have been a tough act to follow in Sia's original music video, but these guys give her a run for her money!
