After a nearly three year-long engagement, Jennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux got married on Wednesday in a surprise ceremony that shocked both guests and fans alike. Details have been slowly emerging on the newlyweds' super hush-hush nuptials — everything from the cake to the maid of honor to the honeymoon location. Here are a few of our favorite findings about the A-list couple's big day.

The celebration was in the couple's own backyard.
Who doesn't love an at-home wedding? Aniston and Theroux said "I do" in the backyard of their Bel Air, California home, which was decked out for the occasion. A wooden stage was front and center, with seating for 74 guests set up around the mansion's sprawling outdoor space, People reports. Their backyard, protected by thick trees and with plenty of space for guests to party, was the perfect spot for the festivities.

The guest list was seriously star-studded.
The intimate backyard wedding was attended by major celebs, including Aniston's Friends costars Courteney Cox and Lisa Kudrow, as well as Chelsea Handler, Jason Bateman, Emily Blunt and John Krasinski, Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi, Will Arnett, Tobey Maguire and wife Jennifer Meyer, and Jimmy Kimmel.

Speaking of Courteney Cox — she was the maid of honor!
Of course Aniston couldn't get hitched without her closest pal by her side. The former Friends star, who's been friends with Aniston since the hit show, not only served as the bride's MOH, but she was the last guest to leave! Cox partied with her newly-married BFF until the wee hours of the morning, around 3 a.m., People reports.

Theroux also had a good friend standing by his side.
The groom enlisted his buddy Scott Campbell as his best man for the wedding. Campbell, who is married to actress Lake Bell, is a tattoo artist who has inked the groom a number of times.

They put their talented friends to work.
Famed photographer and close friend Terry Richardson, who was also a guest, snapped photos for the couple on their big day. Australian singer Sia performed her hit "Chandelier," Us Weekly reports.

Even for the rings.
Aniston's longtime friend and jeweler Jennifer Meyer designed the couple's wedding bands, according to Us. Meyer is also responsible for crafting Courteney Cox's engagement ring.

Aniston had her trusted glam team on hand.
Celebrity makeup artist Angela Levin and hairstylist/best friend Chris McMillan were both called upon to beautify the bride for her big day, People reports.

Even their dogs had beauty prep.
The bride hired mobile dog groomers Spa Dog for her beloved pets ahead of the event, a source told Us.

Their cake was decorated with...Muppets.
The couple's playful wedding cake — made by Duff Goldman of Charm City Cakes — was topped with a man and woman Muppet-like puppets portraying the bride and groom. The bakers "had no idea it was for a wedding," a source told People. "They didn't know until they saw the pictures this morning." Turns out, Aniston has a slight obsession with Muppets, hence the unique cake toppers. According to a second source, the cake was vanilla and strawberry. "Jen and Justin are freezing a piece for their anniversary next year!" added the source.

They're already on their honeymoon.
The two jetted out for Bora Bora from Los Angeles on a private plane, arriving Thursday to begin their first trip together as man and wife. Instead of opting for a private getaway, the two enlisted a few of their friends, including Jason Bateman, Chelsea Handler and Courteney Cox, as travel buddies. A source told People that the pair invited the honeymoon tag-a-longs because they want the celebration to last as long as possible.
