A Couple Remarries After the Bride Suffers from Memory Loss

Jeremy and Justice Stamper's wedding day finally happened — again! The Tennessee couple celebrated a second set of nuptials on August 1, one year after their first wedding, because Justice tragically lost her memory of their first one after a car accident last year.

Justice suffered speech problems, PTSD, and short-term memory loss after the accident, which occurred just 19 days after their wedding. When Jeremy discovered his new wife had no recollection of their big day, he took matters into his own hands. "I said, 'Don't worry about it. We're going to do it again,'" he recalled to ABC News.

And now, he's made good on his promise. The couple restated their vows at Hungry Mother State Park in Marion, Virginia, on Saturday, their first anniversary.

They picked a sunflower theme — the same as their first wedding — and this time, Justice wore a brand-new wedding dress. That gown was made possible by the abundant generosity of loved ones and strangers. Unbeknownst to Justice, Jeremy set up a GoFundMe account in May, and raised $9,340 in donations in the blink of an eye.

"I picked up the phone and, in about 10 minutes, I had the entire wedding, just about everything donated," he told TODAY.

Unsurprisingly, Jeremy was overwhelmed with emotion when the event finally arrived. Wedding photos show him emotionally wiping away tears as Justice walks down the aisle for a day she truly will never forget.
