Why Caroline Manzo Wore White to Her Daughter Lauren's Wedding

Celebrity, TV & Movies

This past weekend, Lauren Manzo had the reality TV wedding of every Real Housewife child's dream. With her family by her side, she walked down the aisle in a stunning Vera Wang ball gown. And while the details of the outlandish affair at the family's venue, The Brownstone, in Paterson N.J. are enough to kvell over, the one thing everyone can't stop talking about is mom Caroline Manzo's white mother-of-the-bride dress!

Today, the Manzo matriarch and star of Manzo'd With Children addressed the Internet fodder surrounding her ensemble. Next to a stunning photo of her and daughter Lauren, the oftentimes brash reality star wrote: "My beautiful girl and I. To answer the burning question @laurenmanzo asked me to wear white. You may resume living now."

So it's as simple as that: the bride, Lauren, requested that Caroline try a trend many bridal parties and mothers of the bride are trying lately, wear white!

Caroline wasn't the only Real Housewife of New Jersey alumn to stun at the affair. Kathie Wakilie wore a lavender Nicole Bakti dress with a plunging neckline, while Jaclyn Laurita, Lauren's aunt, wore two dresses, one floor-length gown with a gold bodice and illusion neckline and a black satin mini for dancing at the reception.
