Wedding Venues Based on Personal Style

With an endless amount of options to choose from, settling on the ideal wedding venue can be quite the job. But sometimes, taking a step back and examining your personal style — even taking a peek inside your closet to get a better sense for your style! — will make selecting the place where you say "I do" a lot easier than you would think. From a remote mountaintop to the modern art museum, keep reading to find the best fit for you.

Hipster: If your go-to outfit consists of high-waisted jeans or cut-offs, a crop top, cool vintage jacket, and a pair normcore sneaks, you might want to get married at a modern art museum. It boasts the perfect ambiance for a uniquely elegant wedding, yet it's still not basic in the traditional sense. A casual backyard bash with a food truck for catering would suit your style too.

Bohemian: Love oversized tops, flowy dresses, messy braided hairstyles and all fringe everything? Then you might be a bohemian! Your wedding venue of choice will be a toss up between a remote mountaintop, a private rocky beach and a gorgeous field of wildflowers that's simply breathtaking. Anything that's outdoors in nature (because an al fresco wedding is a must) is really right up your alley. Either way, your bridesmaids wouldn't be caught dead in the exact same dress, duh, and it's floral crowns all around for the bridal party. Think Kate Moss style.

Preppy: If you have a thing for Tory Burch and can't get enough of Kate Spade, you can officially consider yourself a preppy bride. Most likely, you're from the East coast and you're all about bows, pearls, polka dots and you still have a soft spot for some chevron. Your dream venue is either the local country club your parents belong to or a vineyard. A beautiful historical building or Southern plantation are two options to also consider.

Sporty: You're so not the bride who has been planning her wedding ever since she was a little girl. You live in tank tops, shorts, sneakers, yoga pants and anything that's comfortable. Dresses aren't your BFF, but you definitely have a feminine side to you that you like to bring out now and then (i.e. at your wedding). You'd be down for a relaxed ceremony in your own backyard or renting out your favorite team's arena if you really want to go big (or go home).
