Ask any girl who's ever gotten married if her wedding day went off without a hitch, and we bet her answer will be a big fat no. Truth be told, we spend so much time stressing out over and trying to perfect every last detail only to realize that the only folks who will even notice (or care) that dinner ran late was us! Okay, and maybe the wedding party and planner, but you get the point. Guests won't have a clue that the dancing was supposed to start 30 minutes ago. So relax and let us help put your mind at ease. Here are the little wedding mishaps real brides experienced and lived to tell the tale.

A Music Mix Up
"The DJ accidently played the song we had planned as our last song of the night at the beginning of the night! So many people kept requesting it that he totally forgot, which turned out not being too big of a deal once I realized that the party wasn't actually about to stop." — Alyse

A Receiving Line Fail
"We were supposed to do a receiving line at our wedding right before everyone hit the buffet. However, post-ceremony pictures took a lot longer than expected, and we didn't want to throw the whole schedule off so we opted to nix it spur of the moment. I legit flagged down a bridesmaid and was mouthing to make people eat with a bunch of crazy hand gestures. Luckily, she understood and not one guest knew what happened." — Laine

The Wrong Meal
"I'm still a little annoyed about this one, but the caterers served filet mignon instead of the rib eye steak we had specifically chosen at our tasting because it was better." — Caroline

A Change of Drink
"OMG we ran out of craft beers only a few hours into the reception and had to switch to Bud Light and Coors Light. No one seemed to mind since they were already several drinks in at that point!" — Carissa

A Marriage License Gone Missing
"One of our friends got ordained to marry us, and looking back, none of us really knew what the heck we were doing. We ended up misplacing our marriage license the morning of, and what's worse is we didn't even realize it until the day after the wedding when our friend asked if we were supposed to sign something. Woops!" — Brielle

The Never Ending Speeches
"We love our friends, but we seriously thought their speeches were never going to end! The band was scheduled to go on around 9:30 and didn't actually start playing until 10:00 PM. We had scheduled in a break for them at 10:15 to do the cake cutting, which we decided to push back a little so they didn't just leave the stage after playing a few songs." — Michelle

A Brand New Band
"Funnily enough, I didn't even know about this mishap until recently. Anyway, we had initially arranged for a flute, harp and string trio to do our ceremony music but wound up with a string quartet instead. Apparently the first group didn't show, and my wedding planner was able to get a replacement at the last minute." — Lindsay
