In Season Now: Tweedia

Tweedia are prized for their diminutive, five-petaled star-shaped blooms, which range from intense glacier blue to bright sky blue to clear pale blue — colors not often found in commercially grown cut flowers. Here are some of our favorite tweedia arrangements:

Bridal Bouquet (above): This pretty arrangement features a combination of Juliet garden roses, dusty millers, scabiosas, mint, and tweedia.

White Bridal Bouquet with Tweedia: This simple crisp-white bouquet includes ranunculuses, peonies, and anemones, with tweedia for a subtle pop of blue.

Colorful Bridal Bouquet: For something brighter, combine colorful flowers like lilac, hydrangeas, coral charm peonies, tweedia, and muscari.

Copper Bouquet: This pretty copper-toned bouquet has a ton of depth and texture; tiny tweedia blossoms add a pop of pale blue to the arrangement.

Bridesmaid Bouquet: Little pops of blue tweedia added to this white bouquet really stand out against pastel-hued bridesmaid dresses.
