Make finding your dress a priority.
"Don't leave shopping for your wedding dress until too late! Honestly, I think it's a real advantage to begin looking and piecing together bridal looks you like — that way you can ensure there's enough time to find or have the perfect dress made."
Do you, your way.
"Knowing my love of color, my guests were expecting a pink gown, but I saved it for my accessories. The pink crystal necklace by Tom Binns was my favorite — yes, even more than my custom pink calfskin and iridescent-crystal heels."
Don't stray too much from your go-to beauty look.
"I think hair and makeup are really important aspects of a bride's overall look — you should feel comfortable as an extra-special version of you on your wedding day. So try not to stray too much from how you're used to seeing yourself. For me, my own go-to beauty product was Elemis' Pro-Collagen Cleansing Balm — it's perfect for giving the skin a good boost before any big day."
And remember the non-fashion aspects of your big day, too.
"Looking back, I don't think I would have changed anything about my bridal look, I truly loved it — but I probably would have spent a little more time finalizing the seating plan for my reception."
