Just How Much of Jennie Garth's Wedding Was DIY?

Jennie Garth and brand-new husband David Abrams's July 11 wedding was everything a DIY bride dreams of — and then some! In its latest issue, People has details on their intimate nuptials that'll make you swoon with envy.

Garth and Abrams welcomed roughly 120 guests (including Garth's Beverly Hills: 90210 co-star Tori Spelling) to her six-acre ranch in Los Olivos, California, on Saturday for a wedding that she had a very active role in planning. Some of her DIY details included fresh-picked flowers from her garden, antique doors, and her mother's lace hanging from wires.

The ultimate personal touch? Her non-traditional, pale green Claire Pettibone wedding dress adorned with embroidered roses. The utterly romantic design is classic Pettibone, and the effect was not lost on Garth's now-husband.

"She was drop-dead gorgeous," Abrams told People. "When I saw Jennie in her dress, nothing else mattered. I just lost it."

Back in May, she told Us Weekly, "I'm working with an amazing designer for the dress, which I'm very excited about. We're sort of creating that together."

Other sweet details include their vows. Garth promised to "watch the Golf Channel 24/7" while Abrams vowed to her three daughters (who served as their only bridal party) "to take your jokes about my skinny fatness like a man."

During the reception, the newlyweds shared their first dance to Angels by The xx before breaking it down to Beat Mosaic, a California soul and groove band.

Is it any wonder, then, that the actress was blown away by her gorgeous nuptials? "It was unreal," Garth told People. "It was perfect."
