What's in a wedding date? A lot, it turns out. Many brides are tied to one in particular based on their venue's availability; others pick their timing based on when the details will be the most affordable. Oftentimes, though, there's deep personal meaning attached to the date — think anniversaries, birthdays, holidays, and favorite seasons. Since a wedding date is one of the first things planned and determines so much of the outcome, we asked brides on Facebook to tell us how they chose theirs. Here, some of our favorite responses:

"My fiancé and I are getting married on my grandparents' 60th wedding anniversary, September 25, 2015." —Beth V. Wilson
