Hollywood's hottest couple is certainly enjoying the summer! George and Amal Clooney were spotted out on an intimate date night in their favorite Italian town of Lake Como holding hands and looking relaxed and happy — and good looking as ever.

The actor and his superstar lawyer wife, who married in Venice, Italy, last September, were seen leaving the Lake Como restaurant Harry's Bar Wednesday, E! News reports, with Mrs. Clooney sporting cute and summery polka dot shorts and a simple black top holding hands with her husband, who was sporting a casual outfit of seersucker pants and a button down — oh, and a growing goatee to complete his silver fox look.

The couple has been spending some of the summer at George's Lake Como villa — a property he purchased in 2001 — enjoying some rest and relaxation as well as a few houseguests. Last week, George's parents along with his wife's sister, Tala Alamuddin, joined the couple for a big family dinner, which caused quite a stir in the Gatto Nero restaurant. "The restaurant was full, but when they came in, there was much surprise and excitement," a source told E! News of their family get-together.

Apparently, the Clooneys make for very good dinner dates. One of the couple's friends, author Kathy Lette, told People earlier this week that seeing the newlyweds interact is like "watching a rom-com in front of you." Lette became friends with the British lawyer through her husband Geoffrey Robertson QC, who works with Amal. The author recently had the famous actor and his wife over for dinner and said it's clear to see the two "are mad about each other."

Lette added that it's no surprise to see why the A-list actor fell for the human-rights lawyer. "She's drop-dead gorgeous, your jaw hits the ground, but she's also very charming, funny, self-deprecating," she said, adding that fame has not changed Amal one bit. "She's as warm and down-to-earth as ever."
