Billy Joel Wed Longtime Girlfriend Alexis Roderick in a Surprise Fourth of July Ceremony

After "the longest time," Billy Joel and Alexis Roderick — who have been together since 2009 — tied the knot in a surprise Fourth of July ceremony disguised as the couple's annual Independence Day party, according to People.

The singer-songwriter's spokeswoman revealed that Joel and Roderick "surprised guests at their annual July 4th party by exchanging vows in front of their family and close friends."

New York Governor Andrew Cuomo, a longtime friend of the couple, officiated the intimate ceremony, held at Joel's large estate on Long Island.

According to People, Joel's daughter, signer-songwriter Alexa Ray and actor Kevin James were among the guests. Ray's mother, supermodel Christie Brinkley, wished the couple well in an Instagram post, writing, "Congratulations to the glowing bride and groom. And to my daughter Alexa, who has a wonderful friend in Alexis! Wishing the growing family every happiness!"

Joel and Roderick announced in April that they're expecting their first child together this summer. At the time, a source told People, "Billy is thrilled to become a dad again."

This is the fourth marriage for Joel, who was married to Elizabeth Weber until 1982, then tied the knot with Brinkley in 1985. When they split, he wed celebrity chef Katie Lee.

While we'd love to know where this couple is headed for their honeymoon, it seems their vacation plans may be on pause. The musician is currently on tour, and is scheduled to be in Boston as soon as July 16.
