Forget the Fourth of July, this weekend is all about Princess Charlotte's christening! Set to take place Sunday, July 5, this is one of those major royal moments we love to watch. The chance to see the royal family, including Prince William, Duchess of Cambridge, Prince George and Prince Charlotte all together is a rare and exciting occurrence. But even more exciting is that this go 'round, the royal family is opening up the Christening to the public! Well, sort of.

Since the public has been so supportive of the royal family, the palace just announced that they'll be inviting locals to join in on the celebration. "The Duke and Duchess are hugely grateful for the warm wishes they have received since Princess Charlotte's birth — many of them from local people in Norfolk — and are delighted the paddock can be opened on the day of the christening," a statement from the Palace said of Sunday's festivities.

The best part, though, has to be that Prince George is, according to People, set to walk a few yards into the church. Cue the adorable sweaters, crocs, and more for the public's taking.

Unfortunately, the ceremony itself is a private one (not too much of a surprise there), but along with George, the family will be walking to the St. Mary Magdalene church on the Sandringham estate, which is similar to the walk they do every Christmas.

The day, a source close to the royals told People, will be a "happy, family day in the country." "It is something they are looking forward to sharing with the local community," the source added.

Making the day extra-special, is that St. Mary Magdalene church is the same church Princess Charlotte's late grandmother Princess Diana was baptized. How sweet!
