This may be even better than her gold medal! Nastia Liukin, Olympic gold medalist gymnast and contestant on the most recent season of Dancing with the Stars, is engaged to boyfriend Matt Lombardi. The athlete announced the exciting news via Twitter with an adorable photo of her hand decked out in bridal bling, with Lombardi in the background standing with his arms triumphantly open.
"So this just happened..." she wrote alongside the photo on Twitter.
So about that bling: It's enormous! The cushion-cut diamond is surrounded by a double-pavé halo and a thick band that looks like it's also dotted with layers of diamonds. Even sweeter: Liukin said that Lombardi, the founder of VentureUp, a team-building platform, designed the ring all by himself.
"Matt proposed in Boston last night with a beautiful ring he designed himself," the newly engaged Olympian told Us Weekly. "He told me we were going to celebrate together, and to my surprise, my parents, best friend, and his family and best friend were waiting there to celebrate with us. We are both so excited for our future together."

Liukin previously dated fellow-Olympian figure skater Evan Lysacek following her 2008 all-around gymnastic gold medal win.
She may not have gotten the coveted disco ball on Dancing with the Stars, but it looks like Liukin won in the long run. Her proposal follows a number of DWTS' engagements this season, including Noah Galloway's on-air proposal and pro-dancer Lindsay Arnold and Karina Smirnoff's engagements.
