Basketball Wives LA star Draya Michele has a reason to cheer—but it has nothing to do with the sport her reality show supports. The TV actress and designer said "yes" this week to longtime on-again-off-again love Dallas Cowboys cornerback Orlando Scandrick, who popped the question at the site of the couple's first date.
"Yesterday, the love of my life asked me to be his wife," the bride-to-be captioned an Instagram photo of her jaw-droppingly gorgeous, six-carat cushion cut diamond ring. "I said YES!!! Love you @oscandrick32 forever starts now."
Scandrick, 28, proposed at Arclight Cinemas in Sherman Oaks, according to People, over dinner and drinks. "He was acting so weird and so nervous," Michele, 30, told the magazine. "When he walked up to the bar he tripped and fell over some chairs! I was thinking 'What in the world is wrong with him?'"
But, Michele admits, she was also nervous when he proposed: "He got down on one knee and as soon as he started to talk I got nervous and couldn't help but to laugh hysterically. I was laughing and crying at the same time."
While Michele says she can't wait to be Scandrick's wife, she won't immediately jump into wedding planning. "I'm in no rush," she told People. "It took a lot to get to this point, so I'm going to let him relax for a little while. ...I'm going to soak this time in and have fun! I'm technically not married, so I don't have to be boring just yet. I'm looking forward to being a really hot fiancé!"
