Prince William and Kate Middleton's brand-new baby girl has a name: It's Charlotte Elizabeth Diana!

"The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are delighted to announce that they have named their daughter Charlotte Elizabeth Diana," Kensington Palace said in a statement this morning, just two days after Royal Baby Number Two was brought into the world. "The baby will be known as Her Royal Highness Princess Charlotte of Cambridge."

The adorable name checks many boxes for the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, both familial and historical — Charlotte is a classic royal name famously given to the Princess of Wales who would have become queen of the United Kingdom if she had not died in childbirth in 1817. It's also the feminine form of Charles, the name of her paternal grandfather! Elizabeth and Diana, meanwhile, are the names of the newborn's paternal grandmother and great-grandmother.

The triple-barreled moniker also satisfies the expectations of many bettors across the baby royal's realm. In March, booking site Ladbrokes reported that most Brits guessed they'd be gaining a new princess when Kate finally gave birth and that her name would be Elizabeth, Charlotte, or Alexandra.

"The betting is certainly heating up with around a month to go now," Jessica Bridge of Ladbrokes told HELLO! at the time. "Elizabeth leads the way as the 5/1 favorite for the name of choice, followed closely by Charlotte, Alexandra and James."

We think it's a super cute name for an even cuter baby! Nice work, Kate and Wills!
