Break up the monotony of little white dresses for your wedding events and look effortlessly cool by trying one of the hottest trends from the Spring 2016 bridal runways: a white suit.

"Pantsuits are the new look seen everywhere from the red carpet to cocktail parties," says Brooke Jaffe, Bloomingdale's Fashion Director for Women's Ready-to-Wear. The best part? It's surprisingly easy to pull off.

Fit is key for making the white-suit trend feminine. "You want to find a jacket that is tailored and draws you in at the waist line," Jaffe says.

When it comes to the pant, you have options. Jaffe suggests choosing a straight leg or a slightly boot cut pant. Looking for something more special? "Tuxedo-style suiting is a great spin on the traditional pantsuit," Jaffe says. Try a pant with satin piping, a blazer with satin lapels or both. Whichever suit style you choose, complete it with the following pieces for maximum impact:

Add a Lacey Top
The underpinning is essential, according to Jaffe. A slightly sheer lace top adds softness to stark tailored lines. "Exposing slight lace detail right where the blazer crosses adds to the overall look," Jaffe says.

Pick a Sexy Shoe
A strappy sandal with a delicate heel can take your look from day to night. Another great option new for spring 2015 is a modern high heel slide or mule.

Finish It Off with the Perfect Accessories
Choose linear earrings to elongate the pantsuit look and finish it off with a one-two punch of accessories: a statement ring and a stand-out clutch.
