WATCH: A High School Teacher Proposes to a Fellow Teacher with Ring Pops (and Her Students!)

Some of the most epic love stories happen between high school sweethearts — but what happens when two high school teachers fall in love? Jonathan Holt, a teacher at Chalmette High School in Chalmette, Louisiana, showed everyone the answer when he proposed to Iris Howorth, a fellow teacher at the school, in her classroom in the most adorable way possible. We're talking Ring Pops, a jazz band, and one shocked bride-to-be.

Holt set the surprise up by having the principal call his Howorth into his office for a fake meeting, at which point Holt ran into her classroom and set the scene. Armed with Ring Pops, he enlisted the help of her class to take her off-guard once she walked back into the room.

"I asked who the class clown was," Holt told BuzzFeed. "They all pointed to a kid in the back. I said, 'OK, you — you need to propose to Ms. Howorth with your ring pop when the time is right. Then everyone else follow suit — make it natural.'"

In the proposal video above, you can see that the first joke proposal leads to others, before Holt himself pops the big question. Shocker: Howorth loves it!

"I knew it was going to be a special moment — the beginning of an epic life together — and I wanted to involve as many people as possible because the more people that can share that feeling, the more powerful it is," Holt told BuzzFeed of his decision to involve the students.

To top it off, he brought in a New Orleans jazz band to play as they exited the room to celebrate the moment."Walking out to the sound of the brass band was such a great feeling," Holt said. "I'm just glad we had an opportunity to share our moment with so many other people."
