Congratulations are in order: Tennis star Andy Murray married his longtime love Kim Sears on Saturday! The pair exchanged vows inside the 12th century Dunblane Cathedral in Dublane, Scotland — where the 27-year-old athlete was raised — then welcomed an intimate group of guests at the Cromlix, a luxury hotel Murray owns, according to E! News.
The guest list included British tennis star Tim Henman, Murray's divorced parents and grandparents, and a gaggle of friends, including four bridesmaids decked in floor-length rose-hued dresses accessorized with either a matching wrap or fur shawl. For their part, the pair looked like Scottish royalty — Murray donned a traditional blue and green kilt, while Sears slipped on a Jenny Packham gown fit for a princess. She accessorized the crystal embellished dress — with a plunging V-neck and three-quarter length sleeves — with a glittering headband and cathedral-length veil.
Crowds gathered on the streets to congratulate the couple, who met at the U.S. Open in 2005 and got engaged in November. Even Scotland's First Minister sent the pair happy thoughts on social media., writing, "I send my warm congratulations to Andy and Kim on their big day, and wish them all the very best for a long and happy life together. ... Andy is a local hero [in Dublane], but he is also a Scottish sporting superstar, and the whole nation will be delighted for him and his new wife."
