Pretty Ceremony Aisle Decorations: Hanging Arrangements

Wedding Style & Decor

An easy way to dress up your ceremony venue is to line the aisle with decor that complements the space. One of the prettiest ways to do this is to hang decorations — from flowers to fresh greenery — from the chairs along the aisle. Here are some of our favorite ideas for hanging aisle arrangements.

Flowers in Mason Jars (above): A pretty and very popular idea these days is to hang jars of fresh blooms from the chairs lining both sides of the aisle.

Ribbon Bows: Tying bows (with extra-long tails!) to the ceremony chairs is a simple-yet-striking idea.

Ferns: Bundles of emerald-green ferns look elegant and lush tied to the chairs along the aisle.

Fresh Greenery (tied upside-down): Or, for a more casual and unexpected look, have your florist make bundles of fresh greenery and tie them upside-down.

Dried Wheat: A rustic ceremony setting would look so beautiful accented with bundles of wheat along the aisle.

Floral Arrangements from Shepherd's Hooks: Another popular idea is to hang floral arrangements from decorative hooks staked into the grass. This couple also added small "reserved" signs to mark the rows saved for certain friends and family members.

Tissue-Paper Pom-Poms: Colorful pom-poms in your wedding color palette is a more casual and whimsical way to decorate the ceremony aisle.
