There's a lot going on in a wedding ceremony — the decorations, the music, the anticipation, the processional, the list goes on — and all of that plays out against what's probably a really stunning backdrop! Whether you're getting married outdoors and have awe-inspiring natural surroundings, or you're hosting an indoor ceremony with a hand-crafted arbor, it's worth it to say your "I dos" in front of something as gorgeous as your dress. We asked our Facebook followers to share photos of their ceremony structures, and to our delight, the results were both personal and beautiful! Here, read about our favorite submissions.

1. A tropical paradise. We don't know exactly where bride Ashley Merritt got married, but we do know that it was drop-dead gorgeous. In her caption with the photo, she wrote, "Gazebo, flowers, meshed accents on both sides, ocean in the background. Perfect." We happen to agree — whether she's in Bali or Florida, it's pretty amazing!

2. The giving tree. Sometimes, nature gives you a better backdrop than any building or wedding planner could have created. Bride Susan Bailey understood this when she got married under a gorgeous tree and in front of the water, wisely with little added embellishment.

3. Rocky top. Bride Wendy Scheib's mountain-set wedding is pure natural goodness. The peaks and valleys that dramatically played out behind her already-beautiful ceremony must have been a slight distraction for guests!

4. Love among the ruins. We always love a rustic arbor, but when there's a meaningful story behind it? Forget about it. "We made our own arch from fallen limbs after an ice storm," bride Kristen A. Snow wrote of this stunning one. We're sold.
