Of course, what's tacky to some may be perfectly normal to others and vice versa, but there are some things you just can't deny are tasteless when it comes to wedding .... like handing out feedback questionnaires on the wedding food mid-dinner! We'll let you be the judge though. Here, guests share the most head-scratching moments they've experienced at weddings.
The Wedding with the Groom Who "Made It Rain"
"At the last wedding I attended, when the bride and groom made their grand entrance, the groom decided it was a good idea to make it rain everywhere. Sure, whatever... I could get past it, but then he proceeded to throw dollar bills up in the air on the dance floor sporadically throughout the whole night. It felt more like I was at the club than an, otherwise, nice wedding. The worst part was several drunk girls were on crawling around trying to grab the money up off the floor and stuff it in their purses." — Becca
The Wedding with Ice Sculptures ... of Dogs
"At this one wedding I went to I noticed three pretty large ice sculptures of dogs sitting on a table in the corner at the reception (the gift table, perhaps?). Curiosity got the best of me, so of course I asked around to figure out what the deal was with the dogs. Turns out, they were a wedding gift from one of the bride and groom's relatives. The best part was one of the ice sculptures wasn't even of the bride and groom's dog; it was an ice sculpture of the gift giver's dog." — Caroline
The Wedding with the Harvard-Obsessed Father of the Bride
"I went to a wedding where the father of the bride spent his entire toast reminding everyone that he had gone to Harvard and had two daughters (including the bride) who also graduated from Harvard. He literally took every opportunity he could to bring it up. Everyone at my table couldn't help but look at each other and roll their eyes at every mention of Harvard from the wedding toast that was more a celebration of the father of the bride and his Ivy League pedigree than it was of the newly married couple. Had I made a drinking game out of that speech, I would've ended up with alcohol poisoning!" — Susan
The Wedding with the In-Your-Face DJ
"The worst was at a friend's wedding where the DJ went around to the tables and handed out his business cards! It was strange and tacky, no fault of the bride and groom, but I learned a good lesson for my own wedding planning when interviewing vendors." — Beth
The Wedding with Guests Who Doubled as the Clean-Up Crew
"At the end of the wedding dance (at a formal venue) guests were pressured into helping the bride and groom take down décor since it had to be removed that evening. This is not something your guests should be expected to do after a day of celebrating." — Bridget
The Wedding with Feedback Questionnaires
"The resort started to hand out a paper and pen to all the guests at the dinner table. It was a feedback questionnaire on their service and performance during the dinner at the wedding! I was luckily the first person they handed one to so I stopped them right there and told them they should just put them out later if they needed the feedback so bad." — Annie
