WATCH: The Gay Couple in Kelly Clarkson's New Music Video Got Engaged on Set!

Celebrity, Gay Marriage

Kelly Clarkson is really spreading the love around these days. The happily married singer (and mom to adorable baby River) fostered quite the loving atmosphere on the set of her new music video "Heartbeat Song." Real-life couple Chad Laboy and Zac Woodward, who play a couple in the video, got engaged as the cameras rolled!

A behind-the-scenes video, above, shows Laboy proposing to Woodward during a break in filming. We can't hear what he said as he popped the question, but Woodward eventually answers, "Of course. Duh!" His utter shock at the proposal and their kiss and long hug warms our hearts in so many ways, especially given the theme of the "Heartbeat Song" music video.

If you haven't listened to the catchy new song yet, it's very much in the vein of "Since U Been Gone." It's the American Idol winner's first single from her upcoming album "Piece by Piece," and it's about people breaking up and picking up the pieces before falling in love again. The video shows that happening to a variety of folk, and in a divine example of life imitating art, Laboy and Woodward's story ends with them getting married.

In case you're not already in love with Laboy and Woodward, watch them meet-cute in a Starbucks in the full music video, below. The best part? Knowing that their infectious smiles are completely genuine!
