George Clooney is proving to be a very protective husband! The movie star is reportedly busy renovating his mansion in Berkshire, England, which he shares with wife Amal Alamuddin-Clooney. And while we're sure there will be plenty of tasteful décor and high-end upgrades, one thing Clooney cannot live without is a safe room!
"They are having a panic room installed," a source revealed to Us Weekly of the house's overhaul. "It'll be fireproof, bombproof, and attack-resistant."
The panic room will be a key element in the private estate's redesign. The insider noted that while the manor is already luxuriously decked out, it's also already, pre-panic room, super-private and set back far in the countryside.

And while you may think this installation is to ward off Clooney's many fans, it's actually something he insisted on having for his new wife since she's often at the center of legal cases. "Amal has high-profile clients in controversial cases," the source close to the couple disclosed, after admitting that this was really Mr. Clooney's doing. "She needs to be secure."
For their first real home together — which they relaxed in for the first two weeks following their lavish Venice nuptials this past September — this is some serious security. But, it's also sweet that Clooney's taking his vows seriously, and is determined to protect his wife from whatever he imagines can happen.
Panic room aside, we're pretty positive this renovation will include some feminine touches as well so that the house reflects both of them as they settle in to married life.
