The Gossip Table Co-Host Chloe Melas's Classically New York Wedding

Real Weddings

After nearly a year and a half of planning (and chronicling her planning process as one of our real wedding bloggers, host of VH1's The Gossip Table Chloe Melas has tied the knot! A blind date with Brian Mazza on October 25th, 2012 led to a whirlwind romance, a proposal eight months later, and a wedding true to the couple's home of New York City (complete with a black tie dress code and a 12-piece band) — two years to the day after they first met.

For Chloe, the easiest part of planning her wedding was picking her dress — and the shoes, of course! She added some height to her petite frame with gold strappy sandals by Christian Louboutin.

And what about that dress? The bride stunned in an ivory lace gown with illusion cap sleeves by Monique Lhuillier.

In addition to being a hospitality guru, Brian is the founder of Windsor Custom, a men's custom clothing boutique in New York City. Of course, he helped design his custom shawl collar tuxedo himself!

Two tiny flower girls stole the show at the ceremony in Manhattan's Grace Church, which provided a stunning backdrop for the bride and groom's late-fall portraits.

Brian's groomsmen matched his sleek look in classic tuxedos and white boutonnieres. Chloe's bridesmaids looked the part in navy chiffon gowns and carried bouquets of white roses and dusty miller.

After a traditional ceremony (that ended with a performance by NYPD bagpipers as guests exited the church!), everyone headed downtown to Capitale. "Brian found the venue," says Chloe. "It was the first and only place we looked at!"

Guests found their escort cards attached to a wall of greenery studded with white roses.

Capitale's towering ceilings were dramatically lit to give the space a James Bond vibe. "It was like every fairytale you've ever read had come to life in the room," says Chloe of the reception. Candelabras and clusters of white roses and hydrangeas topped the tables, and guests dined on slow-roasted tomatoes and filet of beef.

The four-tiered wedding cake, covered in sugar daisies and gold beads, included layers of chocolate and vanilla cake and was topped with oversized sugar flowers.

Some of Chloe's favorite memories from the wedding were completely unplanned, at least to her. "My dad ended his speech with a traditional Greek dance that he'd planned with the band, and Brian invited the four friends who'd introduced us two years earlier," she says.

The newlyweds took a mini-moon to Turks & Caicos to bask in the sun, but they've got bigger plans ahead: "We're hoping to go to Africa for a safari!" Chloe reveals.
