Each Monday night we gather to watch Bachelor Chris Soules take a number of wifey hopefuls on a range of dates (last week included a Costco shopping spree for Jimmy Kimmel and crashing a wedding, for example). But one of last night's group dates included a popular wedding trend that might not be the most romantic thing in the world: trashing the dress!
After Jade was taken on a Cinderella date the night before thanks to Chris's three sisters (seriously, she had her own "fairy godmother" fussing over her before "the ball" and then the two waltzed on a platform together before the stroke of midnight), the girls received a date card with a number of names on it. Carly mentioned that there were a number of boxes outside of the mansion, and the girls listed on the card proceeded to open boxes full of wedding dresses in a variety styles — a drop-waist V-neck tulle ball gown, ruched satin sheath, and lace illusion mermaid. The girls excitedly put the dresses on and jumped into a private jet for what seems like a sister wedding-type scenario.
When they arrived in San Francisco, they found themselves at Muckfest MS, a mud run to benefit people living with Multiple Scelorosis. So yes, these girls were expected to race, through the muck, in these gorgeous bridal gowns they were gifted. All the girls headed into the mud with vigor, full-on trashing the gowns they were just given. The prize for the first to finish the race? A one-on-one date, of course.
Jillian, who was later sent home, was way ahead of the pack, but this date brought a trend that a lot of brides post-wedding are embracing to the spotlight.
We're wondering: Are you planning to trash your dress? If so, sound off on Facebook!
