With their bracing lime-laden kick, these cocktails beat the heat frozen, and get dressed up at night on the rocks with a salt rim and fancy aged tequila. Not only is Mexico home to our favorite vacation cocktail, it's also home to our second favorite: the piña colada. Get yours on the Riviera Maya, and it might even be made with coconut milk that's fresh from fruit right off the closest tree.
Is there a more perfect holiday food than the taco? It's fun, portable, and you can mix and match your fillings to keep it interesting. We love the ones filled with fried local fish and pink pickled onions as well as the ones filled with flavorful achiote-marinated pork that's been cooked in banana leaves and served with queso fresco, cilantro, and fresh pineapple. Even if you grew up with taco night, you'll never look at this family favorite the same way again.

You can dance to your favorite tunes when you get home. While you're here, kick up your heels together to the local favorites — the music will forever remind you of your honeymoon, whether you hear it played by street performers on New York City's subway or in your local Mexican restaurant.
Why does the guac just taste better south of the border? It must be that the avocados are local and ripe from the warm Mexican sun. Don't leave home without buying a molcajete, the Mexican mortar and pestle used to make the perfect guac. There's just no better souvenir of your trip.
Whether hung between two palm trees on the beach, beside a pool, or on your hotel room's terrace, a hammock is the perfect chair for two. Time just seems to slip away slower when you're reclining together, suspended midair as if by magic. There's no denying it: By the time you head home, you may wish you put one of these babies on your wedding registry.
