Can't take the pain of professional extractions to unclog your pores? We've rounded up a few DIY products that do the work for you by reducing oil and eliminating blackheads. So before your engagement party, bridal shower, and wedding (!!), prep with one of these babies to ensure your complexion looks clear and shine free.

Murad Blackhead & Pore Clearing Duo:
This two-step regimen is genius. Start with the clay blackhead remover to soak up dirt and oil. Leave it on for 10 minutes, then add water to exfoliate as you wash it off your face. Apply the pore-refining sealer; it contains pomegranate seed oil to tighten pores and prevent blackheads. "If, like me, you need instant gratification, you'll love this system," our tester says. "My pores looked immediately tighter and even my foundation looked more even after using it!" $49.50, available at Murad

Boscia Pore Purifying Black Strips:
The main ingredient in these nose strips is charcoal, which acts like a vacuum to pull out impurities. They also contain witch hazel to eliminate bacteria and tighten pores, silica powder to prevent shine, and peony root extract to protect against free-radical damage. "Maybe this is TMI, but you can actually see what's being pulled out of your pores — it sticks to the black strips," our tester says. "My nose usually gets really shiny during the day, but after using this, I hardly had to blot at all." $28, available at Boscia

Clean & Clear Blackhead Eraser Cleansing Mask:
This two-in-one cleanser and mask, which contains salicylic acid and silica, is perfect for those with really oily skin. Apply it like a mask, wait five minutes until its blue color turns white, and wash it off like a cleanser. "It eliminates oil, dries out blemishes, and loosens clogged pores," our tester raves. "It also tingles when I put it on, which I love because it makes me feel like it's working." (Helpful hint: Our tester used the Boscia Pore Purifying Black Strips right after the mask, which got rid of every last loosened blackhead.) $5.49, available at Walgreens

Dr. Jart+ Pore Minimalist Black Charcoal Sheet Mask:
These individually wrapped, pre-soaked sheet masks are incredibly user friendly. Because you open a new packet each time, the ingredients (charcoal, clay, and spearmint extract) stay fresh and potent. "I put one on before bed and woke up with an almost airbrushed glow," our tester says. "I didn't even need to wear foundation." $35, available at Sephora

Bioré Deep Pore Charcoal Cleanser:
Use this cleanser daily to keep your pores in check. "I found that it works best when you massage it into your skin without water, so the cleanser can really grab onto dirt and oil," our tester says. "Then add water and wash your face. I usually use toner after cleansing to remove the rest of my makeup, but after using this, the cotton ball was totally clean," $6.74, available at drugstore.com
