Celebrity Manicurist Jin Soon Choi Shares Cool (and Easy to DIY) Bridal Nail Art

If you've picked up our latest issue, than you know there's some seriously gorgeous inspiration inside. One of our favorite stories? "Icy Hot," a spread of dozens of gorgeous engagement rings, paired with some seriously enviable nail art. Lucky for you, we got in touch with Jin Soon Choi, the manicurist behind these modern wedding-worthy designs to find out how you can achieve some of the looks from this shoot on your own wedding day! Here, step-by-step instructions for how to DIY this ultra-cool, bridal nail art.

First up, the crepe textured mani, photographed above, which happens to be the easiest of them all! "Of all nail art, this is the easiest to do," says Soon. "You simply paint it on and it's done! I call this nail art in a bottle."

1. Apply base coat.
2. Apply two coats of JINsoon "Georgette."
3. As the polish dries, the texture will become apparent (no top coat needed).

Jin Soon Flowery Ombre Nail Art Tutorial

For a pop of color and dash of romance, you might want to try this flowery ombré mani.

1. Pick 5 colors that are in the same color family that range from light to dark.
2. Apply base coat.
3. Apply the polish from the lightest color to the darkest starting from the baby finger to the thumb.
4. Apply top coat.

Last but not least, the ultra-modern V-shape mani.

1. Select two pastel tone nail colors that show a bit of contrast.
2. Apply base coat.
3. Apply the lighter color on the entire nail bed first.
4. Paint the V shape using the darker shade by painting from the left diagonally, then the right diagonally, overlapping approximately 1/4, 1/3, or 1/2 above the nail tip, depending on the desired V shape.
4. Apply top coat.
