With Thanksgiving over, you probably have your attention set squarely on the holidays, and we don't blame you! This time of year is engagement season, and it's also always jam-packed with romantic displays of love, à la Love Actually. But before you cue up all the classic holiday songs, there are still three weeks left to enjoy the calming, heart-warming tunes that define fall. We cooked up a special Spotify playlist to inspire your autumn wedding music, if you're about to get married now or around this time next year; it's also the perfect backdrop for any bride to listen to while doing wedding planning!
Unsurprisingly, we picked some tunes that describe the season in their titles. Earth, Wind & Fire's "September" is a wedding classic, while "Autumn Leaves," as covered by Nat King Cole and Ed Sheeran, are popular first dance songs. Other ones evoke the rustic charm of fall. We particularly love The Head and the Heart's "Rivers and Roads" and Bon Iver's "Skinny Love" for the first dance, as well. They're both incredibly romantic and can make you feel as though you're slow-dancing by yourselves in front of the fireplace. Some of our favorite processional music is great for a fall wedding, as well. Vivaldi's "Autumn" from his Four Seasons and Claude Debussy's "Claire De Lune" are both gorgeous choices for the big moment during the ceremony.
Throw on a cuddly sweater, make a mug of tea, and hit play on this playlist while you narrow down your wedding music wish list and make any other plans for your big day. We have a feeling you might find a new favorite!
