Edible Wedding Favors: The Coffee and Tea Edition

Favors & Gifts

We're big proponents of edible wedding favors, but treats you can drink or sip are just as delightful, too. Miniature packages of coffee and tea are guaranteed crowd-pleasers and are an especially apt choice if you're having a winter wedding. So if you and your groom are coffee lovers or tea drinkers, here are some of our favorite ways to offer them to your guests as a parting gift.

"His & Hers" Coffee Favors (above): If you and your groom are java junkies, send guests home with packages containing your favorite roasts.

Personalized Coffee-Bean Bags: Ask your local roaster if they can customize coffee-bean bags with your wedding details to give as favors.

Miniature Burlap Sacks: This couple passed out burlap sacks containing Colombian coffee beans as a nod to the groom's heritage.

Locally Roasted Beans: For their Los Angeles nuptials, this caffeine-loving couple hired baristas from their favorite local coffee shop to make made-to-order drinks at the reception; as favors, they passed out bags of their favorite roasts.

Self-Serve Favor Station: For a more interactive favor idea, set up a station with your favorite coffee beans, kraft-paper sacks, and scoops and invite guests to help themselves before departing from the reception.

Tins of Tea: If tea is more your thing, place a small tin filled with your favorite brew at each place setting.

Jars of Tea: Another simple DIY favor idea is to fill glass jelly jars with your favorite loose-leaf tea for guests to enjoy at home.

Tea Test Tubes: Alternatively, you could fill small cork-topped test tubes with one or two servings of your favorite tea.

Self-Serve Tea Station: Invite guests to make their own tea sachet by having a favors table set up with muslin bags and glass jars containing your favorite tea varieties.
