Brides South Jersey: Spend a Weekend at The Water Club in Atlantic City for a Relaxing Bachelorette Party

Showers & Parties

If you want to mix a little R&R into your girls getaway, we have a bachelorette locale that you might just love. One of our (very lucky) editors spent a weekend lounging at Atlantic City's The Water Club, and returned relaxed, fresh faced, and convinced that it's the perfect place for bachelorette parties. (Note: Lest you hear the words Atlantic City and skeptically think "gambling and partying — so not me," it turns out there's much more to it than blackjack. This editor is emphatically not a gambler, yet was in a luxurious happy place — literally and figuratively — all weekend long.) Here, her list of can't-miss spots.

The Sunroom Lounge
Taking a dip at The Water Club's lobby lounge is the first thing our editor did upon stepping out of the limo. (Yes, she took a limo, but you know, a car, plane, or train work too.) Surrounded in gardens are indoor and outdoor pools, Jacuzzis, and a bar that serves everything from chilled watermelon and tuna tartare to mini croque monsieurs and smoked salmon pizzettes, their specialty. (The drink menu is just as diverse. Whether you're looking for afternoon cocktails or orange juice and coffee to go alongside a morning dip, they've got it.) Oh, and did we mention the menu was dreamed up by Geoffrey Zakarian of Iron Chef fame?

The Immersion Spa
This two-story oasis on the 32nd floor boasts floor to ceiling windows, an infinity-edge lap pool, and a whirlpool — all with insane views of the ocean. But that's, like, not even the beginning of it. Whatever service you could possibly need, they have. Looking for a blemish-reducing facial? A Swedish massage? Or perhaps a body-slimming wrap? You can indulge in it all whilst sipping delicious fruit-infused raspberry iced tea.

Wolfgang Puck American Grille
This contemporary American restaurant is actually located in the Borgata Casino and Spa, which is connected to The Water Club, which means you can go to dinner without even having to step outside. Try the Bone-In Ribeye with Maytag Blue Cheese Butter and French Fries or the Gulf Shrimp and Sweet Corn Risotto with Asparagus, Parmesan, and Crisp Parsley. (We're getting hungry just typing it ....)

28 West & Gypsy Bar
If you get the itch to go out, Borgata has two nightclubs, Mur.Mur and Mixx. Our editor, however, was obsessed with 28 West, a chic, low-key piano bar, and Gypsy Bar, a tequila bar with live music. Their jalapeno margaritas are delicious, and even more enjoyed while listening to live renditions of classic '80s music. (That basically sums up our idea of a perfect night — anyone else?)

Room Service
No, but really! The Water Club's room service deserves a category of its own because the menu is just that good. Our recommendation? When you get back to your room after a night out, order a chick flick, uncork a bottle of champagne, and open the menu — the avocado toast, giant peanut butter cup, and truffle fries are perfect late-night bites for you and your girls. (We know from experience.)
