Uneven Bridal Party

Choosing your bridal party can be exciting but also equally stressful. Maybe you're the type of girl who only has a few close friends or you might be someone who has several sisters and a lot of ladies you couldn't imagine not standing at the altar with you. But once you figure out who's going to be in your own bridal party, you also need to consider who will be in your groom's circle. What if he has more (or less) groomsmen than you have bridesmaids? See what etiquette experts have to say about this common conundrum.

My fiancé is going to have more groomsmen than my bridesmaids. Is it weird to have uneven bridal parties?

Not at all! Your fiancé can have six groomsmen, while you have three bridesmaids, and it still wouldn't be weird! Think of it this way: quality over quantity. Don't feel obligated to fill your bridal party with ladies you don't feel that close to just to balance the sides.

If it's something that's seriously bothering you, consider having one of your close guy friends in your party. More and more brides are having a man of honor or a bridesman. The whole idea of a bridal party is to have the people you love most by your side on one of the most important days of your life — and that can include guys friends!
