Our Cover Girl Elyse Taylor's Effortlessly Glamorous Wedding in Bridgehampton, New York

Real Weddings

Model Elyse Taylor, 29, didn't have to look far to find the man of her dreams. "Seth and I were friends for years before it turned into a romance," she says. Two years later, when Elyse was four months pregnant with the couple's daughter, Seth decided to pop the question. "We were all in Southampton, and he asked my mom for permission to propose," she says. "We went for a drive, and Seth wanted to go down to the beach, but he got so nervous that he pulled the car over and proposed right there on the side of the road!"

Nearly a year later, six months after their daughter, Lila, was born, they went back east to Bridgehampton to say "I do" at Campbell Stables, Seth's family's horse farm, on August 23, 2014.

Elyse wore a stunning silk-and-lace gown, custom-made by Zac Posen, down the aisle.

"Every girl gets nervous about her wedding dress," says Elyse. The bride brought the designer photos of gowns she loved, but felt badly because some of them weren't his creations. "Zac told me to relax. He understands women's bodies, and figured out what I wanted from the very beginning."

Elyse paired her gown with white leather pointed-toe flats by Nicholas Kirkwood. "I didn't want to tower over my husband!" she laughs.

Seth and Elyse's daughter, Lila, was the flower girl. "She was with me while we were getting ready," says the bride. "She wore an adorable little white Ralph Lauren dress, and my father carried her down the aisle."

The ceremony took place beneath a tent on the farm's polo field. The couple combined Catholic and Jewish traditions, including the traditional breaking of the glass.

"My mom walked me down the aisle," says Elyse. "I couldn't think of anyone better to have that honor."

After the ceremony, Elyse and Seth, in a custom navy tuxedo, strolled the grounds while guests sipped cocktails and ate mini lobster rolls and baked oysters.

A-list guests included Heidi Klum and Vito Schnabel, Jessica Hart and Stavros Niarchos III, and Heidi Harrington Johnson (who was also one of Elyse's three bridesmaids).

The reception took place in the barn, with two long tables flanking the dance floor and two shorter tables at one end. Light linens were topped with hydrangeas and white roses and accented with gold chargers and flatware for a touch of glam.

Fabric and lights hung from the ceiling, giving the huge space a cozier feel. For dinner, guests dined on local duck breast, sea bass beurre blanc, and Australian rack of lamb (a nod to Elyse's home country).

The bride and groom cut into a white chocolate cake decorated with fresh roses and hydrangeas. "We had French macarons and mini flourless chocolate cakes served at the table," Elyse says.

Later in the evening, the cocktail space was transformed into a lounge, where a DJ spun late into the night.

The couple headed straight for their honeymoon, five days at the Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc in Antibes, France. "It was the first time Seth and I had been alone since Lila was born," says the bride. "We spent the whole time relaxing and catching up on sleep, it was so nice to have that time just the two of us."
