Groovy, Baby: Listen to Our '60s-Filled Wedding Playlist!

Has the time come for you to start picking songs for your wedding reception playlist? How fun! Among the classic love songs, pop hits, and crowd-pleasing dance tunes, there's always room for a good throwback. And what better decade to pull from than that of the 1960s? Even if those years were way before your time, they're packed with tunes that every wedding can benefit from! In case you need a refresher, we curated a special Spotify playlist of the best musical moments for nuptials.

First things first: The Beatles obviously made some of the best wedding songs ever during this decade. Love Actually showed how "All You Need is Love" is the perfect recessional song, while we happen to think that "Something" is a heart-wrenchingly romantic first-dance tune. But alas, there are no Beatles songs on Spotify, so our playlist explores the rest of the rich musical history of the era. Luckily, there's plenty: For first dance songs, we love The Turtles' "So Happy Together," The Righteous Brothers' "Unchained Melody," and the most popular one of all, Etta James' "At Last."

Aside from those romantic tunes, there are plenty of upbeat hits your guests will love. Neil Diamond's "Sweet Caroline" begs for a a sing-a-long, and Chubby Checker's "The Twist" is the original group dance song. We also picked amazing love songs, like Marvin Gaye and Tammi Terrell's duet "You're All I Need to Get By" and Aretha Franklin's "(You Make Me Feel Like) A Natural Woman."

Love what we're suggesting? Listen to the whole playlist, below, and start picking your favorites for your wedding. Enjoy!
