"Their Royal Highnesses The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are delighted to confirm they are expecting a baby in April 2015," a brief statement from Kensington Palace announced this morning.
April happens to be a very special month for the Royal couple: The Royal Wedding occurred on April 29, 2011 — this year marks their fourth anniversary — and Queen Elizabeth's 89th birthday falls on April 21. And, when the little Prince or Princess arrives, baby George won't even be two years old — he'll have just turned 21 months!
The statement from Kensington Palace also announced that, "The Duchess of Cambridge continues to be affected by Hyperemisis Gravidarum, but her condition is steadily improving." Unfortunately, Duchess Catherine fell ill this pregnancy with the same sickness she had when carrying George, which is why we haven't seen her adorable baby bump yet. She's expected to make her first public appearance tomorrow, when President Tony Tan Keng Yam of Singapore arrives in London.
If all goes according to plan, Tuesday will be the first time anyone will see Kate since the early pregnancy announcement this past September. We couldn't be more excited for the Royal Couple who have already proven their adorable parenting chops. We hope the rest of Kate's pregnancy goes a lot smoother than it has so far!
