As a bride, you probably have a few ideas on the kind of bachelorette party you'd like, but, of course, you still want to give your bridesmaids the freedom to plan a surprise for you. To get the bachelorette party of your dreams without stepping on anyone's toes, follow these four easy steps:
1. Talk it over with your bridesmaids.
Let your bridesmaids know the kind of party you'd like, whether it's a girls' night out on the town or something more low-key, like a spa getaway. So, if you want to avoid having a stripper show up, now's the time to let your attendants know.
2. Be aware of everyone's budget.
Since all of the guests usually chip in to pay for the bachelorette party, be thoughtful of everyone's budgets. Don't expect a blowout bash in Vegas if you know most of your pals can't afford the airfare; choose something less expensive so that everyone you'd like to be there can attend.
3. Create the guest list.
Don't feel obligated to invite every female on your wedding-guest list — the bachelorette party should be a more intimate event, so stick to your closest girl friends, the ones you're most excited to celebrate with. Be sure to also provide your bridesmaids with each guest's contact information.
4. Don't micromanage.
Resist the urge to take control of the party planning. Your pals will likely want to include a few fun surprises to make the party (and you!) feel special, and you don't want to miss out on that!
