Everyone getting married now or in the near future feels like the 2000s were yesterday. After all, the best songs from the first decade of this century certainly make it feel that way! Though it's only 2014, there are already some downright nostalgia-inducing tunes that absolutely deserve a play during wedding receptions.

From amazing novelty rap songs and fun pop hits, there are tons of tunes that will get your guests on the dance floor. Plus, there is such a variety. Take the early years: 'N Sync's "Bye Bye Bye" and Britney Spears "Oops!...I Did it Again" dominated 2000 and 2001. Later in the decade, you get tons of eclectic options, from Gnarls Barkley's "Crazy" to Justin Timberlake's "SexyBack" to Mariah Carey's "We Belong Together." Throw in all of the amazing rap songs (hello, Nelly, 50 Cent, and Kanye West), and you've got yourself a party!

Is it any wonder why we put together an entirely 2000s Spotify playlist for your listening and wedding pleasure? We don't blame you if you want to pick most or all of these — your guests will probably thank you! Even if you throw in music from other decades, there are some great options for your first dance song, too, like Jason Mraz's "I'm Yours." So what are you waiting for? Sit back, relax, and take a very short trip back in time.
