Watch: A Bride Shares a Heart-Wrenching Dance with Her Ailing Father at His Bedside

Aside from the "I dos" and the couple's first joyous kiss, the father-daughter dance is one of the most anticipated moments of any wedding. Unfortunately, for a multitude of reasons, some brides don't have the opportunity to share a quiet moment with their father on their wedding day. When California bride Lisa Wilson realized that her father, who was critically ill with a rare form of cancer, might not make it to her wedding day, she and her fiancé, Robert Pantoja, moved their wedding date up a week.

According to CBS Los Angeles, Lisa and Robert hosted a bedside wedding at UCI Medical Center in Orange, California so the bride's beloved father, David Wilson, would be able to give his daughter away and share that all-too-important father-daughter dance.

David shared the video above on his Facebook page the very same night as the couple's impromptu wedding. After Lisa and Robert are pronounced husband and wife, David offers his congratulations to both the bride and groom before receiving a request from his daughter.

"I asked him, 'I said daddy I want to do my father-daughter dance with you.' He said, 'I can't dance and I said you don't have to. I want to dance with your hands,'" Lisa told CBS2.

In the background, the song "I Will Always Love You" by Whitney Houston plays while the father and daughter share an emotional dance from his bedside.

David unfortunately passed away on September 2, only 10 days after his daughter's wedding. But the proud father left his new son-in-law with a heart-wrenching piece of wisdom. In a private moment with Robert, David said, "Rob, you're the lucky one. You won the lottery: You got my baby girl."
