Spring 2015 Wedding Dress Trends Promo

Sure, you want your wedding dress to look timeless. After all, 40 years from now you don't want to look back with regret! But there are plenty of ways to incorporate contemporary elements and still find a look that's classic. To help, each season we carefully review the bridal runways for emerging design patterns, new silhouettes, and exciting details you should look for when wedding dress shopping.

The Spring 2015 bridal runway trends were a mix of old and new. Some, like colorful wedding dresses, off-the-shoulder necklines and '30s glam were more refined takes on already successful dress designs in the wedding world. Others, like a beach-chic aesthetic, was something we were seeing for the first time.

Then, there were some really cool convertible and layered silhouette innovations that got us extra excited. Tulle skirts, for example, were taken to the next level with removable overskirts — giving brides-to-be a two-for-one gown. On the other hand, capes kicked veils and trains off the bridal map, inventing a new way for brides to make a dramatic entrance down the aisle while also providing conservative brides with a covered-up option for her ceremony. Collars, too, added some drama to many dresses overall design, a natural progression from the regal high-necklines and illusion necks we've been seeing over the course of the past few years.
