Did We Just Figure Out Who's Designing Lauren Conrad's Wedding Dress?!

Celebrity

Lauren Conrad's wedding is just around the corner. And while we're anticipating her perfectly-placed décor and adorable bridesmaid dresses (possibly like the custom, mismatched Paper Crown ones she designed for BFF Maura McManus's wedding this past weekend?), one thing hasn't been made certain yet: who will design her wedding dress. After doing some digging, we're almost positive it's going to be a custom Vera Wang-and-LC collaboration. Here's why:

Before she became the fashion designer, lifestyle guru, and blog-stress that she is today, Lauren was on a little show called Laguna Beach. During her time on the MTV reality hit, LC made it clear she wanted to work in fashion — but she wasn't the only cast member who dreamed of being a designer. Trey Phillips, the cute, artsy, original cast member, has become a success story in his own right: He's now a designer at Vera Wang. He's even created some of her most iconic bridal looks from recent bridal runway season, like the burgundy dress from Fall 2013 below.

Since Conrad has a successful fashion line of her own, we wouldn't be surprised if she crafted her big-day gown herself. But we also have a feeling that she'll enlist the help of her former castmate, current BFF, and Vera Wang-designer Trey to whip up something gorgeous. Not only is Whitney Port (another MTV reality alum, former friend of LC, and successful fashion designer) creating her dream dress with a deigner buddy, too, Trey and LC still hang out. In fact, you can find the two of them guest starring on each other's Instagram feeds, especially when they partake in an adorable tradition: ice-skating together every year in December (see a cute snap from their trip this year, above).

We hope she chooses to honor her longtime friend by wearing one of his designs! In the meantime, we'll be keeping our eyes peeled for more clues.
