Mirror mirror on the wall, who's the most regal-looking bride of all? You in a collared wedding dress, of course.

Many of our favorite wedding dress designers — from Marchesa to Naeem Khan — sent sophisticated wedding dresses down their most recent bridal runways featuring collar necklines. And, to be honest, this look isn't the shocking. More covered up designs have been in style ever since Kate Middleton walked down the aisle at Westminster Abbey three years ago. From long sleeves, to illusion necklines, and most recently capes, modesty is a statement designers and brides are looking to make.

Whether it's a lace addition to an illusion or a bejeweled accent to a heavily embroidered dress, collars add an air of elegance to a gown's overall design. Plus, it's great for religious ceremonies or perfect for the more traditional bride looking to feel beautiful but covered-up.

Want to look like a modern-day Marie Antoinette? Take a look at some of these on-trend designs.

Naeem Khan: Khan's collar design is essentially the best jacket you'll ever own. The twinkling V-neck organza dress, with a visible seam down the front, is a striking design. Translation: Everyone will be looking at you.
