This New York City love story began as any great romance should: over a shared love of pizza. Tiffany Lynch, 29, and Daniel Kimicata, 27, met at a mutual friend's birthday party in 2011, where their bond was formed as they discussed the Talking Heads and the finer points of a thin-crust slice. They arranged a date for three days later, but the wait was too long, so they headed to a pizza joint to really break the ice. "We fell in love over slices of pizza, and haven't looked back since," says Tiffany. "We've eaten at more than 50 pizza places since then!"

Just over a year later, Daniel proposed at the Bethesda Fountain in Central Park, with Tiffany's best friend armed with a camera nearby. The pair headed back outdoors, this time to the Prospect Park Boathouse in Brooklyn, for their October 26th, 2013, wedding. "We picnic there all spring and summer, and the architecture is so beautiful," says Tiffany. They tapped Lelia Marie to document all the autumn-hued goodness ahead.

The groom, an architect by trade, designed the couple's wedding invitation, featuring a rendering of the boathouse's iconic arches.

Since the couple met and live in New York (and fell in love over the city's oft-debated pizza), it was no surprise that the city was sprinkled throughout their celebration.

Tiffany wore a lace gown with cap sleeves and a keyhole back. "It was the perfect fit for our classic, comfortable wedding," she says. She carried a bright bouquet of orange, yellow, and white roses accented with billy balls and succulents.

Daniel wore a gray three-piece tuxedo with an ivory tie. His boutonniere combined a succulent with two yellow billy balls.

"We wanted to keep the attire simple," says Tiffany, who accessorized her outfit with her great grandmother's gold-and-sapphire bracelet and a hair pin made from a vintage earring passed down to her from her mother.

Tiffany's two bridesmaids carried smaller versions of her bouquet, with cream-and-yellow roses that matched their dresses. "Picking their dresses took longer than picking Daniel and my outfits," says Tiffany. "He wanted to have a hand in how the whole wedding party looked—so much so that he came to the fittings!" The bridesmaids wore ivory lace dresses with a yellow satin underlay. "They looked stunning!"

The flower girl's outfit was Tiffany's favorite detail. The tulle dress featured gold lace at the top and glitter in the skirt. She wore a sweet floral crown since she was too little to toss petals on her way down the aisle. How adorable!

The ceremony took place on the dock in front of the boathouse, with beautiful fall views of the pond and bridge. The aisle was lined with fresh arrangements of billy balls and greenery, and the "altar" was flanked with white arrangements of hydrangeas and roses. Daniel created the programs, and the couple's guests signed an appropriately fall-themed guest book, showing their support as witnesses of the marriage.

After visiting the boathouse at all hours of the day to pick the best light for the ceremony, Daniel and Tiffany chose to be wed at sunset. The flower girl made her way down the aisle alongside her father, a groomsman. "She gave the cutest wave, opening and closing her fist, as she walked," says Tiffany. "She stole the show!"

The couple wrote their own ceremony, which was officiated by Tiffany's friend, Carlos. They did a hand-fasting ceremony as their mothers read "The Art of Marriage" by Wilfred A. Peterson and "We Will Not Wish You Joy" by Brian Zouch.

The reception took place beneath tiled vaulted ceilings. Guests were seated at a row of long tables topped with fall-hued arrangements and candles.

"We gave our florist free rein," says Tiffany. "She did an incredible job." Tables were topped with golden runners (DIY-ed by the bride and groom) and vasses full of yellow, white, and orange roses and lisianthus. Succulents and tea lights finished off the tables. "It was complete magic," says the bride.

The cake fit the fall theme, topped with roses and billy balls and draped with ferns. One tier featured lemon cake, especially for the bride.

Though the cake was delicious, the cookie table was the evening's real highlight. "Daniel is from Pittsburgh, and cookie tables are a wedding tradition there," says Tiffany. "The women in his family baked nearly 1,000 cookies, and our guests raved about them for weeks!"

Bride and Groom's First Dance in Brooklyn

"Our first dance was to 'Crazy Love' by Van Morrison," says Tiffany. The playlist also included Talking Heads and the Beatles. "We ended the night with a massive group dance/hug to 'All You Need is Love,'" remembers the bride. "It was the most amazing feeling."

After two weeks in Spain, visiting Madrid, Toledo, Merida, Seville, Cordoba, Malaga, and Granada, Daniel and Tiffany returned to New York and their new puppy, Daniel's wedding gift to Tiffany.

The couple's advice is to remember to relax and put yourselves first. "It sounds selfish, but your guests will be happy if you're happy," says Tiffany. "I spent the entire morning of our wedding watching movies with my best friends in the hotel suite. It set the mood for the whole day!"
