Did Bill Murray Just Help Create the Best Engagement Picture Ever?

Celebrity

Here's something we never thought we'd say: Bill Murray has become one of the most wedding-happy celebrities this year! Just a few weeks after crashing a bachelor party to give an impromptu speech, the actor struck again. This time, he popped into a couple's engagement photos.

Raheel Gauba of Fia Forever Photography was snapping pictures of betrothed couple Ashley Donald and Erik Rogers in downtown Charleston, South Carolina, when fate intervened in the form of a Ghostbuster.

"Most of the time when I have an attractive couple, you get to hear all sorts of noises around you — from whistles, to 'You look hottttt' to 'Congratulations!'" said Gauba. "I'm looking through the lens, the couple seems stunned and distracted ... I think to myself — oh great, someone is bothering them — I turn around and I see Mr. Murray standing there with his shirt pulled up and belly proudly on display which he is patting pretty loudly in an attempt to make the couple laugh."

But instead of waving off the distraction, Gauba seized the moment. "Needless to say I was stunned and I invited Mr. Murray to join the couple for a quick shot — He obliged and congratulated them and went on his way ... leaving behind an extremely happy couple and this photo that will be forever remembered by this couple (and us!!!)," Gauba added.

Ashley and Erik are a comely couple on their own, but we have to admit that the Caddyshack star really brought an extra something special to their engagement photos. But they also got some beautiful, un-Murrayed pictures, as seen below.

Murray made news a few weeks ago at another wedding-related event in Charleston. After spotting a bachelor party at a restaurant, he gave a rousing toast to the group. "You know how they say funerals aren't for the dead but for the living? Bachelor parties are not for the groom, they are for [the other guys]. So, I'm going to give you all advice, because it's too late for this one," he said.

He continued, "If you have someone you think is the one, don't just sort of think in your ordinary mind, think 'Okay, let's make a date, let's plan this and make a party and get married.' Take that person and travel around the world. Buy a plane ticket for the two of you to travel all around the world and go to places that are hard to go to and hard to get out of. If when you come back to JFK [airport], when you land in JFK and you are still in love with that person, get married at the airport!"
