What happens when our final three Brides Live Wedding couples are all gathered under one roof for one week in a stunning Los Angeles mansion? Some serious wedding planning, that's what!
To celebrate the kick-off of voting for all the Brides Live Wedding details (click here to vote for your favorite wedding décor concept!) we're also premiering our first episode of Brides Live: Million Dollar Wedding. Set in a gorgeous Pacific Palisades home, each episode follows our final three couples as each of the stunning editor-curated voting options (including the wedding dresses, cake designs, wedding bands, and more!) are revealed to them for the first time. And did we mention that the three couples have never met and are also competing to win the wedding day of their dreams? It's going to be an interesting journey.
The first episode opens with host Lauren Gores (who just got married this past June!) awaiting the couples' arrival. As soon as they're through the door it's time to quickly explore the new digs and get down to business. The grooms of the group are immediately put on the spot for the décor challenge. While their brides watch, the men are asked to sort through tons of wedding details and arrange them into the four distinct Brides Live Wedding themes: Coastal Classic, Graphic Glamour, Eclectic Elegance, and Pretty Pastels. Hilarity ensues, to say the least. The grooms were so turned around that they accidentally made a fifth reception setting (which, they jokingly explained, represented the "kids table").
Next up? The cake challenge. With Cake Boss tools in hand, each couple is instructed to craft a wedding cake. Hesitant at first, the couples eventually get the hang of rolling out fondant. So much so, that they impress the Cake Boss himself, who surprises the couples by judging the challenge via Skype.
Get to know the couples and watch the first two challenges, above. And don't forget to vote for the Brides Live Wedding décor through Saturday, April 12, and for the wedding cake design starting Sunday, April 13!
P.S. Want more? Watch the couples loosen up while trying signature cocktails in this bonus clip, below. Stay tuned for the second episode of Brides Live: Million Dollar Wedding next Wednesday, April 15 at 12 p.m. EST.
