True love was the theme of this weekend for three reality TV stars, with two Real Housewives getting married and one daughter celebrating her engagement party. Who had epic weddings to remember this weekend? Read on and find out!
Kandi Burruss and Todd Tucker:
Burruss, a singer-songwriter Real Housewives of Atlanta star, tied the knot with fiancé Todd Tucker at their Atlanta home on Friday night. The couple met on the set of the Bravo show in 2011, while Tucker was a producer. Fellow cast member Phaedra Parks, who attended their wedding, introduced them, and the rest was history. We knew a wedding was imminent (Tucker proposed with a two-carat diamond engagement ring in January 2013), but it was one of their guests that was a real surprise — Kandi's mother, affectionately known as Mama Joyce! Mama Joyce has made a lot of noise about her objections to Tucker on The Real Housewives of Atlanta this season, calling him an opportunist and telling him she doesn't respect him. However, a rep confirmed to Us Weekly that she overlooked her anger at the celebraton, and even toasted the couple during the reception. Few other details have been released about the wedding, but Burruss certainly enjoyed herself. "Last night was the best night of my life!" she tweeted after the wedding.
Taylor Armstrong and John Bluher:
Proving that love can come out of the most tragic situations, former Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Taylor Armstrong married fiancé John Bluher this weekend. The couple met while she was sorting out legal issues following her estranged husband Russell Armstrong's suicide in 2011. The help turned to romance, and Bluher proposed at the St. Regis Punta Mita Resort in Mexico last August. And now, they're married! "Today, John, Kennedy and I became a family," Armstrong told People. "I married my best friend and Kennedy's family circle became complete." Armstrong and Bluher said "I do" on the beach at the Bel-Air Bay Club. The bride wore a Chagoury Couture off-white wedding dress paired with Jimmy Choo shoes and was escorted down the aisle by her daughter Kennedy. During the ceremony, Bluher gave Armstrong two white-gold Ari Soffer wedding bands with 32 diamonds each to match her 60-diamond Ari Soffer engagement ring. Adorably, Soffer also made a necklace for Kennedy, whom Armstrong had with her first husband. The David Tutera-planned event featured a chocolate wedding cake with salted caramel frosting by Sweet E's Bakery, and was attended by 120 guests, including fellow Beverly Hills housewives Kim Richards, Kyle Richards, Adrienne Maloof, and Lisa Vanderpump.
Lauren Manzo and Vito Scalia:
And over in the Garden State, Real Housewives of New Jersey matriarch Caroline Manzo celebrated at her daughter Lauren's engagement party. Caroline's only daughter got engaged to Scalia in November and marked the milestone on Friday with a cocktail reception at their family-owned Brownstone restaurant. Many Real Housewives of New Jersey turned out to fete the couple, including Lauren's parents Caroline and Albert, brothers Albie and Chris (seen in the above photo), Jacqueline Laurita and Chris Manzo (Lauren's aunt and uncle), Melissa and Joe Gorga, and Kathy and Rich Wakile. According to Us Weekly, Manzo and Scalia's wedding will be in summer 2015.
