Kim Kardashian and Kanye West are the stars of what will forevermore be known as the Vogue cover seen 'round the world. Earlier today, the fashion magazine released their April cover, which shows Kanye standing behind a Lanvin-clad Kim, with his arms around her waist. The cover photo and the inside spread (which includes baby North!) were both shot by famed photographer Annie Leibovitz.
Naturally, Kim's 15-carat engagement ring is front-and-center, while the rest of her look is relatively understated. Her raven hair is slicked back into a low chignon, while her dark eye makeup plays off her wedding dress. For his part, Kanye rocked a sleek navy blue suit. If this is a preview of their wedding portraits, we approve!
Our favorite part? The #worldsmosttalkedaboutcouple hashtag! We can't disagree with its sentiment; getting details on their upcoming wedding in Paris is one of our favorite activities. An accompanying video (below), along with the inside spread, give us a much-needed peek at the loved-up duo as they prepare for their big day, including images of Kim in wedding dresses. "Kim tried tons of wedding gowns made for her by every designer," an insider told People.
Will she pull a Carrie Bradshaw and select one of her photo-shoot gowns for her wedding day? It's possible, but we'd also guess that Givenchy's Riccardo Tisci will do a favor for his friends and whip up something one-of-a-kind. We're also still holding onto the hope that she'll wear a gown made from one of the designer sketches we had commissioned for her.
Regardless, the cover is certainly creating the kind of publicity the Kardashians want in advance of Kimye's nuptials. But behind it all, what's so special about this cover is that it's Kim's first for Vogue, and it's something she wanted for a long time.
