5 Things We've Learned About Jamie Lynn Spears' Wedding

We thought we'd heard everything about Jamie Lynn Spears' weekend wedding to boyfriend Jamie Watson: Big sis Britney was there, as were her sons Jayden and Sean. Guests received beer koozies as wedding favors, and the whole shindig went down at the Audubon Tea Room in New Orleans. But we've recently found out even more juicy details about the Spears' family bash:

Jamie Lynn didn't pick out her own wedding cake: "For the wedding consulation she was actually out of town," Louisiana bakery The Cocoa Bean's owner Anthony Delpidio tells People. Delpidio worked with Spears' new husband and her assistant to choose the traditional vanilla, almond and vanilla-bean buttercream wedding cake, which took eight hours to make. "She sent a picture and said, 'This is the idea I want. Just run with it and do your thing.'"

She wasn't a bridezilla: Spears, a regular at The Cocoa Bean, often buys cakes from the bakery. "We know what she likes from us," Delpidio said of Spears. "She's not a very tough customer. She's very easygoing." We're assuming that attitude extended to the rest of her wedding, as well.

The groom's cake was very personal: Groom's cakes are usually good indications of the guy's personality, and reportedly Watson was very involved in creating his playful contrast to the classic wedding cake. "Jamie's idea was to have his [duck-hunting] boat and his dog on there," Delpidio says of the chocolate confection with buttercream frosting. "He sent me pictures of the boat and we worked off of that." To enhance the hunting theme, the baker added 3-D fondant "weeds and swampgrass," plus a camouflage airbrushed pattern.

Jamie Lynn's mom wore a wedding dress — seriously: Like her newlywed daughter, Lynn Spears wore a custom-made Liancarlo gown. The floor-length, white mother-of-the-bride design could have easily been mistaken for a wedding dress. Some brides would balk at their mom wearing white, but not Jamie Lynn!

Someone else wore a wedding-worthy dress, too: Jamie Lynn's five-year-old daughter Maddie, from a previous relationship, also wore a custom Liancarlo creation. Baton Rouge, Louisiana, wedding boutique I Do Bridal Couture confirmed the news with the above Instagram photo. In the snap, Jamie Lynn and her mom pose with I Do's owner, Ramsey Sims. "It's official ya'll! @jamielynnspears is now Mrs. James Watson! We are so happy to have been part of this celebration of love. The beautiful bride, Mrs. Lynne and sweet Maddie all wore custom gowns by @liancarlodesign. More pics to come! Xo," the photo caption reads.

Overall, this sounds like it was a thoughtful and utterly personalized wedding. We love every detail!
